Unsolved: The Murder of Antoinette Jordan
For over three decades, the family of Antoinette Jordan has been waiting for answers. On May 26, 1990, the body of the 35-year-old mother of eight was found under a bridge on the East Side of San Antonio. She had been shot, and her death was ruled a homicide. Yet, despite evidence collected from the scene, the case went cold.
Today, her son, Trevin Jordan, is speaking out publicly for the first time, hoping to bring new attention the case - 30 years later.
Trevin describes Antoinette as a loving woman who worked hard to protect her children from the violence of their neighborhood. The tragedy was compounded by the fact that her death occurred just two months after her older brother, James, was also murdered.
While suspicion initially fell on Antoinette's husband, the case was never prosecuted, and he maintained his innocence until his own death. Trevin believes the system failed his mother and is now a voice for her, ensuring her story is not forgotten.
The San Antonio Police Department's Cold Case Unit remains hopeful that advancements in technology, specifically genetic forensics, may provide the breakthrough needed to solve the case. Evidence from the crime scene has been resubmitted for testing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the SAPD Cold Case Tip Line or Crime Stoppers.
